Partnerships with non-profit agencies
Improving the lives of millions of people
ToughStuff products contribute towards providing off-grid communitities access to energy. Whilst we do not encourage the widespread donation of ToughStuff products, we are delighted to partner with organisations on more specific programmes, such as, but not limited to, shelter support in refugee camps and support for mobile phone programmes. We are interested in working with organisations on these and other projects. Contact us to find out more about partnering with us.
Shelter Support
ToughStuff supplies solar energy products for distribution in IDP and refugee camps. Solar lighting is a crucial way of improving security in camps and reducing risk of fires, which can sweep quickly through settlements. Radio and mobile phone connectors improve access to vital information.
Supporting Innovative Use of Mobile Technology
ToughStuff has supplied solar charging products to organisations such as Grameen Foundation in conjunction with their mobile health programmes, ensuring they have the potential to make a deep and lasting impact. 500 million mobile phone users in developing countries have no way to charge their phones meaning that they are often turned off; people waste time and money using pay-per-charge stations.
Radio Information
HelpAge International distributed ToughStuff full kits that included radios and connectors to ensure that elderly victims of the Haiti earthquake could access the vital information being broadcast in their specialist radio programme. Studies have found that access to information is one of the most important factors in ensuring that people can improve their lives.
As well as this long term development, other ways in which we could work with your organisation could be through Creating Employment or Emergency Relief
